Camps

Welcome to Tumbleweed Day Camp, where children ages 4-14, enjoy the wonders of nature just minutes from your home.  Offering summer camp and winter camp programs, Tumbleweed has provided an enriching atmosphere that has fostered growth and development in our campers since 1954.  From traditional day camp activities such as horseback riding, archery, and arts and craft to our own unique Tumblewheel and 40’ inflatable obstacle course, your children will get the opportunity to gain self-confidence and build lasting relationships in a nurturing environment.

Choose from a variety of day combinations and sessions to help create a positive experience for your camper.  Included in your child’s camp tuition is transportation to and from one location, a daily snack, and a Tumbleweed Camp tee-shirt.

Our summer day camp runs from late June through the middle August and has a variety of programs specifically designed to fit every camper’s age and need. Our camp programs run all day, with bus pick-up between 8:00-9:00 AM and bus drop-off between 4:00-5:00 PM. Campers entering PK-2nd grade are placed at Tumbleweed South, campers entering 3rd-6th grade are placed at Tumbleweed North, and campers entering 3rd grade and above have the option to attend our field-trip based program, Tumbleweed Adventure.

While you are getting ready for the holidays, Tumbleweed is getting ready for camp! Our winter camp program runs the last 2 weeks of December.

We offer a counselor-in-training program (CIT) that facilitates our older campers’ (ages 13-15) transition into the leadership role of assistant counselor and counselor.
